Ila Ada. This simple yet delicious snack is a hot favourite in Hindu households in Kerala. ‘Ada’ refers to a flat rice cake filled with a mixture of grated coconut that is sweetened with molasses and flavored with cardamom, while ‘ila’ refers to the plantane leaf that is steamed in a snack.
